You are bidding on an extremely rare 1984 Ducati Harris Monomille. Only about 80 of these bikes were made. In the early 80's Steve Wynne commissioned Harris Engineering to make a Super Imola frame kit better know as the Monomille. This bike was built in Belgium by Beggelaar using the frame kit, a 998 Ducati Mille engine and White Power suspension. Biggelaar are still performance specialists for Ducati (http://www.biggelaar-performance.com) Most Monomilles have Ceriani forks and White Power rising rate monoshock rear suspension. This bike is fitted with White Power upside down front forks and floating discs as well as White Power rising rate monoshock rear suspension. The Mille engine is the last of the Ducati bevel drive engines and in my view the best. It has the classic bevel drive overhead camshaft but a plain bearing bottom end rather than the roller bearing bottom end of earlier round and square case engines. I also think it is the best looking of all the bevel enginesThe bike is totally original and has only done 27,000Km from new (about 16,000 miles). It is in excellent condition and I am the second owner. The engine still has the lead seal on the crankcases showing it has never been dismantled. All I have done is to get the fork oil seals replaced by White Power. It sounds glorious but not unsociably loud. It is mechanically, uncannily quite. The handling is up to modern standards and far superior to the Ducati road bikes of the era.The Mono Mille is covered in Alan Cathcart’s book Ducati "The untold Story" pages 88 to 91.Remember you are bidding to buy. Anyone with negative feedback or a feedback score of less than 10 please email me before bidding.

Tu veux dire quoi ?
